Junior Scouts Program
Each of our classes spend 1 hour a week in an immersive play-focused nature class. Sessions are centered around current curriculum, as well as emergent curriculum. We believe that the best way to give children a sense of belonging with nature, is to get hands on.

In 2024 The Learning Center became a Nature Explore certified classroom. Our garden is a certified wildlife habitat and features a beautiful pollinator garden!

Growing future stewards
Our immersive nature classes are designed to bring nature to children. Every class is adjusted to meet kids where they are, and engage mind and body. Using centers, children can engage with topics through art, gross and fine motor skills, and intrinsic exploration.

Hands-on,
Child led
We believe that children learn the most when they are asking the questions. Our nature classes follow the children's natural curiosity while finding opportunities to provide varied experiences that brings the learning to life!

We have several special events during our school year where we bring in parents and environmental professionals to provide different opportunities!

Research based approach
"A growing body of research shows that children have better physical, mental and emotional health, and even improved learning, when they play outdoors." UNICEF

Outdoor play provides many opportunities: increased physical activity and risky play. This type of play allows children to challenge their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and spark curiosity and wonder!
